Executive Team

Colony Network’s management team has extensive experience in telecom, service delivery and commercial real estate. The team has a proven history of success.

Michael Kuhlmann, President & CEO

Michael is a technology focused serial entrepreneur. He has built service and software businesses in the wireless and media spaces, raising money for FatPort (Canada’s leading public Wi-Fi operator at the time) and bootstrapping Colony Networks (a wireless network Software as a Service company) to profitability. Michael has worked with some of the largest mobile operators in Canada  (Rogers and TELUS) and wireless network equipment vendors in the world. He enjoys working on product development and go to market strategies. Michael also sits on the advisory boards of a number of software companies and likes sharing his enthusiasm for technology and entrepreneurship at speaking engagements the world over.

Keegan McCallum, Head of Engineering

Keegan has built his career designing and managing large scale, mission-critical projects that solve real-world problems. He began his career in the financial industry, leading the development of a next-gen portfolio management solution including features such as: automatic portfolio optimization, real-time data analytics, and trade submission. Keegan is an entrepreneur at heart, starting a number of small businesses before joining Colony and enjoys finding creative solutions to difficult problems. 

James Martin, VP Network Operations

Jim has a long history of delivering new network services to customers in the SMB, retail and enterprise markets. In 1996 he founded Radiant Communications Corp. (acquired by Commwave Networks Inc.) serving business customers across Canada. At Colony, Jim is responsible for Colony’s data center and network infrastructure, our customers’ network infrastructure and product development.

David Woodcock, VP Sales & Business Development

David has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Working for industry leaders such as Motorola, HTC, Dell and other smaller companies, he has held roles spanning systems engineering, product management and sales in both Canada and the United States. His deep technical background and strong customer focus has led to success across many markets such as network engineering, mobile devices, wireless hardware development, consumer electronics, professional services and enterprise software.
